LGBTQUnited Of Prescott Is s service organization in the Prescott/Brockville area serving the GRSM (Gender, Romantic, Sexual Minority), 2SLGBTQQIAA+ and Gender Diverse Communities... We offer a clothing exchange. The clothing bank/exchange is open to posts here for needed or offering. NO SALES.
We also are starting the process of getting groups running:
- Social support groups open to all within the GRSM/2SLGBTQQIAAP+ communities
- Social Support group for the Trans & Gender Diverse community
- Social Support Group for Family and Friends of those in those communities
- Support group for GRSM survivors of domestic violence, Intimate Partner Abuse, Rape, Sexual, Assault and Sexual Violence.
- As well as Open Drop-ins
-Info sessions on subjects such as:
- The process to change your name and gender marker
- The Process to begin Hormone Replacement Therapy
- Can I Be Trans without having Gender Dysmorphia OR Do I
Have to medically transition or how far do I have to
medically transition?
- Dealing with hate/phobia, TERFs (Trans Exclusionary Radial
Feminists)/FARTs (Feminist Appropriating Radical Transphobes), Religious Hate & More.
- Social Support group for those GRSM identified with
mental health diagnoses and physically health issues
- Youth versions of the above groups.
Social events such as:
- Picnics
- Prescott Pride
- Trips to Centennial Beach
- Karaoke Nights
